Youth & Kids Overview

At Muscles +HEART Fitness Lab, we prioritize the holistic health of kids and youth, supporting their athletic endeavors, recovery from injuries, and overall fitness goals. Regular physical activity is crucial for their well-being, offering benefits such as improved cardiovascular fitness, healthy weight maintenance, better posture, and enhanced sleep patterns. Additionally, therapeutic services boosts self-esteem, concentration, and relaxation while strengthening bones and muscles. Children aged 5–12 are recommended to engage in at least 60 minutes of daily activity, which can include several hours of moderate to vigorous activities.

We recognize the significant role parents play in shaping kid’s attitudes toward physical activity. Through positive role modeling and parental involvement in health coaching, injury rehab, and stress reduction, children can choose activities they enjoy and embrace different body shapes and abilities. By working together, we empower your child with the skills and strategies to thrive in various physical activity environments while also limiting screen time to foster a healthy and active lifestyle, ultimately leading to a life filled with vitality and wellness.

How Do I Know If My Kids Need Health & Physical Education?

Healthy Lifestyle Habits (Health Coaching)

By teaching children about physical activity, nutrition, exercise, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle, health and physical education programs help instill lifelong habits that contribute to overall well-being.

Promote Physical Activity (Fitness)

Health and physical education programs help children develop strength, endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular health through various activities and exercises.

Develop Athletic Performance

Through activities such as running, jumping, throwing, and catching, children develop fundamental motor skills that are essential for various physical activities and sports.

Injury Rehab

Our Approach & What to Expect on Your First Visit

Our approach is unique and multidisciplinary. On your first visit to the fitness lab we spend a little extra time getting to know you. We use both visual and manual therapy assessments to discuss and create a treatment plan with you and your specific needs in mind. Put what you know on the shelf and be open minded, we are not a typical gym, spa or therapeutic experience.
