Are you watching the women in your family age and wonder if it will get better by the time you get old? I did, and that torch has guided my work for the last 10 years.

Did you know that the health and fitness of women is the least studied population by science? As we age, we will also become the majority of the population! Upon hearing this my mission was clear: To support women in their self-care for their healthcare and peace of mind. 

On my journey, I’ve discovered that no one has shown anyone, really, how to age well. So, I am going to mother you up and share some of my beneficial discoveries.

After talking to thousands of clients over the last 20 years and listening to them clinically describe their mental and physical stress, I was able to map the gap between distress and wellness. 

That inspired me to draw on my professional training and create simple, easy-to-follow solutions for everyday hardworking and stressed-out people who have a body and just want to be healthy.

How did I come to connect all these dots? A decade ago, while earning a health degree in sports medicine, a particular public health class presented a public health challenge: How to make taking action to be healthy – sexy? 

How DOES one choose a healthy lifestyle? When all the hard work doesn’t compare to the cool lifestyle marketed by the industries who want you to buy and use their poor food, drink, or lifestyle choices? Their sole goal is to make a profit and they do not care about the long-term outcomes.

Between what my clients were sharing with me and what I was learning, maybe you can see how my path called me to challenge the sex appeal, and instead make the hard work sexy. It’s your body! IT’S YOUR LIFE! This inspired me to be innovative and to design new solutions that DO focus on the long-term outcome… 

And because I ALSO want to age much better than my grandmother did! 

In our digital information age, there are many promises to release stress, relieve pain, improve health and we are determined to help sort through the noise.

At Muscles and Heart, we believe that a foundation of health is built on CAPABILITY. If you don’t believe you can, then how can you believe you will?

In my opinion, it starts with empowering women: moms and daughters to grow old together in health and in wellness, with less sickness and in more fitness.

To do this, we begin your journey by clarifying the definition of FITNESS – the condition of being physically fit and healthy. The quality of being suitable to fulfill a particular role or task. Biology definition- an organism’s ability to survive and reproduce in a particular environment.

Our philosophy and systems are centered around being a complex human being with many layers and dimensions, and knowing that one solution doesn’t work for everyone. This is why we are creating a network of collaborators and evidence-based resolutions for today’s stressful world. 

That meets you where you’re at… and to progress from your level, at your pace.

Our mission is to positively influence women. To empower each generation of women in our global family to reduce stress, improve their long-term healthcare, and lower lifetime health care costs. 

We do this through on-demand digital training, online guides, live workshops, and other affordable and empowering DIY SELF-CARE and personal development resources to help you reach your goals through each life stage.

Out of the world pandemic, we made the pivot to bring our health and fitness mission online… and we are just getting started.
